More success for SGS Sport student Jenna

Member of SGS Sport’s Athletics Academy, Jenna Blundell, competed in the World Schools Cup in Split, Croatia, 13 - 17 May.

Jenna, who studies and assesses the BTEC Sport programme at SGS, was part of Team England, who competed against 15 other countries. The girls team went on to win Gold, with Jenna winning a bronze medal in both the U18 Hurdles and Long Jump events, also gaining a personal best in the Hurdles.

Jenna, now in her second year at college, has achieved great success in her athletics since starting at SGS, previously winning many individual medals and also assisting the Avon Schools Combined Athletics Team to win Silver. Jenna also gained selection and competed for GB Juniors earlier this year.
Jenna’s busy schedule continues this weekend in Bedford for the qualifiers of the European Heptathlon.
