Students looking to raise funds for charity with their enterprise projects

Level 1 Enterprise students at SGS College are hosting a variety of enterprise projects in order to raise funds for an assortment of good causes.

The six enterprise groups will be running different projects throughout April and May:

Groups 1 and 4 will be joining forces to produce customised hampers for the college, companies and individuals. The hampers will be based on the following themes: holidays, beauty, men, women and children etc. Hampers can be pre-ordered on request with the money raised going to Crohns and Colitis UK. Contact Sophie Douglas for your hamper:

Group 2 will be holding a community fete at Filton Community Gardens (BS34 7PS) on Thursday 9thMay 11am-4pm, to raise money for Little Princess Trust Charity. There will be games, cakes, BBQ and a range of activities to suit all ages. The Group would really appreciate any donations towards the charity, or the lending of fete games such as hook a duck, target practice games etc. Contact Zoe Waldron if you are able to help or donate in any way:

Group 5 will be organising and hosting a car boot sale based at Filton Campus in the main car park on Saturday 18th May, raising money for Southmead Children’s Hospital. If anyone is interested in coming along and selling items at the car boot sale, the pitch price will be approximately £5 which can be paid on the gate. There will be food and drink stalls also. Contact Zoe Waldron for more information:

Groups 3 and 6 will be hosting a gala dinner on Thursday 30th May 6.30pm-10pm at Filton Campus to raise money for St Mungo’s homeless charity and OTR (Off the Record) mental health charity in Bristol. The students will be preparing a delicious four course meal for guests (vegetarian options available), along with canapés and welcome drinks. The evening will also include entertainment and an auction with fabulous prizes to be won. All proceeds will be divided between the students’ chosen charities, but the students would welcome any support by purchasing tickets or donating any prizes which can be sold at the auction.
