This course will be based within our School of Performing Arts, WISE Campus, Bristol. This new HND will provide the ideal opportunity for those students interested in all aspects of technical theatre, and live events to gain a university level qualification. Students will have a chance to apply their skills in a professional setting, with over 35 productions being presented each year.
The School has professional and industry standard facilities and resources including two fully operational Theatres. The 250 seat Olympus Theatre, has a state of the art Light Palette live digital lighting desk, which controls our in house stock of generic lighting and our Martin and Robe automated lights. We have a 32 channel analogue Allen and Heath sound desk as well as a 32 channel Yamaha LS9 digital sound desk, these control our audio features which include radio microphones and a fully equipped band area. Our smaller 80 seat studio theatre is equipped with a Jester digital lighting desk, a 16 channel analogue sound desk and projection facilities.
Our scenic workshop is well equipped with fixed and portable tooling which allows all of our set, staging and properties to be made specifically for productions, in-house. We also utilise the facilities in our media department such as editing suites, a fully equipped TV studio and mac suites.
